I have only eaten green asparagus in Australia, but spouse and I learned to love white asparagus whenever we travelled in Germany, Israel etc etc.<br /><br />Our back yard has had almost every fruit and vegetable over the decades, most growing well enough but a couple failing spectacularly. Therefore I wonder why we never tried to grow asparagus.
