The climate is subtropical, featuring a warm, wet season (November to April) and a cooler, dry season (May to October).
Efate Island: The main gateway and home to the capital, Port Vila. Key sights include the stunning Mele Cascades Waterfall and deep-water lagoons.
Espiritu Santo Island: The largest island, famous for its glowing freshwater "blue holes" (like Nanda Blue Hole), powdery white sand at Champagne Beach, and the world-renowned SS President Coolidge shipwreck dive site.
Tanna Island: Famous for Mount Yasur, one of the world's most accessible active volcanoes, where visitors can stand right on the rim.
Pentecost Island: World-renowned for the annual Naghol (land diving) ritual held between April and June, which inspired modern bungee jumping.
