I was reading an interesting take yesterday on the arrival of the Magi in Bethlehem. As story will have it they came soon after the birth but there is a school of thought that they came two winters later. That could be why Herod had all children aged two slaughtered. It is also said thst the three Kings were part of a `caravan` coming from India as trade was prevelant between that sub Continent and Palestine at that time. My question was: was the family still living in Bethlehem at that stage and if so, when exactly was the flight into Egypt? The Blog of Beehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00650938872732748697noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8417961221792880115.post-21905094643035488392015-01-05T11:44:16.762-11:002015-01-05T11:44:16.762-11:00I love Teniers. Mind you, this painting doesn't look very religious.. just a good old knees up in a pub with lots of booze, food and sex. Helshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02849907428208235392noreply@blogger.com
